YOU OWE THIS IS TO YOU - PRACTICING SELF LOVE GUILT FREE

I don't exactly remember when I began practicing self love, but pondering over the subject made me realize I am in a much better place. Though I was not aware of these terms and their subtle impact on me, I remember being on this journey from the beginning. This is mainly because my sister and I are blessed to have a strong mom who used to walk the talk.

Now after I became a mom, I realize the importance of her words back then. Only if I take care of myself, can I spread joy and cheer to the family. Loving myself 💕 I can surely give more love.

Self love is not restricted to getting an occasional spa appointment at the parlor or indulging in your favorite food or going on outings. It's not external for that matter. It is much more than that.

It is being aware of your internal self, listening deep into your inner self of what you think and why you do what you do, consciously come out of the judgements and expectations and create your own self image. Self love is the encompassing layer of well being that includes your physical, mental and emotional health.

I know there are miles to go before I sleep (yes, that's a line from one if my favorite poems) but I am happy to hop on the journey. Here is a brief account of personal milestones so far…

🌻 I am now defining success and milestones on my own terms

🌻 I am now focusing only on my progress and the clarity I require to achieve my goals rather comparing my journey with the other person

🌻 I am taking guilt-free time for my creative practice

🌻 I am digging deep to know my WHY to make sustainable changes

🌻 I say No/Let Go all things, people and emotions that no longer add value to my life

Invest your time, effort and energy in something that will lead you to evolve and gain inner peace, help you know your authentic self.

For me, imbibing a creative life brings that magic in my life.

How has your self love journey been so far? What is your current milestone?

🌿 Inspiring creative living!
